Been keeping busy getting organised for the Quilt Show with only 3 weeks to go until quilts have to be in. I started my quilt and ran short of one of the prints. If you know a quilt shop with Quest for a Cure fabrics. The fabric I am chasing is a Ro Gregg "Seems like old times" No. 2974. Drop me a line. Would be very grateful. Thank You to Meredith from Dragon Quilt Services who has donated a $50 Quilting Voucher and has a quilt for the show.

Went and seen Debbie at Bernina in Tamworth and she has a quilt there ready to be entered also at Cottage on the hill today I received the first entry for the quilt section. Getting exciting. Some of the girls at Cottage on the hill took home fabrics to make items to sell. Big thanks to Wendy who has made these paper weights along with chicken paper weights as well. They are on sale at Cottage on the hill for $5.
Another Big Thank You to Betty from my Tuesday Class who has made these lovely christmas napkin holders.(how close is that getting). Thank You SO much girls.

I have made some items myself that will be on sale over the weekend. So stay tuned more coming.

7 weeks to go

Hooray I have found time to get some pics on finally. With 2 children 1 husband and a baby it can be difficult. But here you go.
This casserole food carrier is made by Rob and will be for sale at the quilt show stall.

Trudi has made these lovely cushions and tablerunner for our quilt show stall and when I went to Nundle on Tuesday these were waiting for me along with Paper weights made by Wendy. These are for sale at Cottage on the hill for $5.00.
Below is a product from one of our Pre School mums. Michelle is entering her in the small item section. Thanks Michelle she looks great.

You also wonder when you organise an event to how successful it will be wondering how it will go, will anyone come, will anyone make quilts. For all the time you put into organising, but the little things like the items you have made to sell is over whelming (doesn't take much to over whelm me ha) and the quilts that have come into Kerry's heading to Betty for quilting are beautiful. I will keep saying these but I truly do THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for your generousity with this fundraiser.

8 weeks left till the items and quilts must be in ready for the weekend viewing.

Have received some prizemoney. The Hunter Mutual has kindly donated $500 for prizemoney. A big Thank You to them. On Tuesday at Cottage on the hill, Kerry received some of the Quest for a Cure Fabrics so I can finally start. It is amazing how quick time goes, as there is only 13 weeks until they have to be in ready to be displayed. Have you started something yet.

Until next time. Happy quilting.

Hello big wild world of blogging.

My name is Sharon are I am an addict to all things patchwork. I am hoping you can help me in raising funds for my local pre school and breast cancer. Like all committees our PreSchool needs to raise funds to operate for the community. So while at Cottage on the Hill on my regular Tuesday class I seen fabrics for Breast Cancer and came up with the idea of helping others while also helping ourselves. So we are asking for your help. We are having a Murrurundi Pre School "Quilts for as Cure" using the Quest for a Cure fabric, Quilt Challenge.

The challenge is to make a quilt with the quilt top to be made up of at least 70% of the Quest for a cure fabrics or Northcott Fabrics as they all have a percentage goes to Breast Cancer. The quilts will be exhibited on October 4th & 5th to the public in our RSL Hall in Murrurundi. The quilts will be judged by the public by secret ballot voting on the Saturday. Saturday Evening we will have a cocktail party to announce the winners. There will be 3 quilt section an Open, Professional and Beginners and also a small items section. Cushions, dolls, Etc
Entry for the quilts is $20 and Entry into the small section $10. This money will go the Breast Cancer. I am still busy seeking sponsors prizes and gifts and will keep you posted as they came in. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate them.

Look forward to hearing from you
