After finishing the quilts , My husband and I left the children 7 yrs, 5yrs and 16 mths with nan & pop and headed off to Tassie for a wedding Easter Saturday. We headed off Wednesday before and had a look about. Had an adventure getting down, missed the flight in Melbourne as the flight was an hour leaving Newcastle, but we ended up getting there after paying for new flights but anyway landed in Hobart got the car and off we went. The Wednesday afternoon we headed up to Mt Wellington what a view, this is the board walk.

This was the view from the south the fog was rolling in. It was just magical

Day 2 We headed down to Port Arthur what an amazing place taking away recent events. We went on a guided tour. Tour Guide was great What a character. Didn't get a lot of time we only spent the morning. Went on the harbour cruise. Had a quick look around the church and the formal gardens . This is a photo of the Penitentiary from the harbour

This is the west wing of the penitentiary with the remains of the hospital behind.

This is the Penitentiary from the formal gardens of the Government Cottage.

Unfortunately the camera went on me and I could take any more photos. But an amazing place that I will go back to but allow a couple of days.

Stay tuned for Day 3 and 4

My heavens where does time go I know it had been a while but this is ridiculous. What has happened since last post. Went to Girls day out in the country back in May. What a day they are. Good food. Great friends, Beautiful projects. Not long enough. I have finished one and a half of the projects will post photos soon as I finish number two. The punchneedle may take a while.

One tuesday class at the cottage. the ladies all brought scrap fabrics to make quilts for the Victoria Fire Victims. Having an 14month old I don't seem to get as much done on Tuesday as I use to, so I made these two quilts. Complete one fully but the other I had quilted by a friend mum in town.

Were is the time going, I can not believe its been a month since last posting, I have been busy doing what I'm not sure. Although I have got these to show. Pencil Cases for the kids. Large one open for my teenage son, pink ballerina's for my daughter and Rodeo for my school starter.
I have found them to make great birthday presents too. These one I made formy sons mates 5th birthday along with $5 roll inside.
So every childrens party my children get an invite to. This will be what they will receive. It's hard to know what kids have got these days or what they are into.

Yours in friendship

Doll Day 2009

Hello Dolly or should I Dimity. Early this year I went to Cottage on the hill for a doll day. You could pick from either Dimity or Winifred. I had Dimity's patterns for ages, so it was nice to finally get her done. Really pleased with her. At the moment she welcome everyone as they come in the door. Is a lot of fun hanging out with 25 odd ladies who all enjoy similar things.

Proud Mum

I would like to show off the work of my 7 year old daughter. She started this about 6 months ago. It was a stitchery out of Natalie Brid's Fairyland. She would do a little every now and then, but she got it finished. It was lovely to sit and stitch with her, but we would fight over the light.

I think I will frame it with a little fabric and a white timber frame to finish it off.

Christmas 08

Hope you had a safe & merry christmas with a fantastic start to the new year. My fabulous husband went shopping for me for christmas. I did buy something for myself but he said he has to get something so I had something I didn't know about Christmas day to open and this is what he brought me. He went shopping in Scone at I think the name is Scrap N' Patch. a little shop in the arcade behind the camera shop. He was proud because he choose the fabric and pattern along with...

A Gardener's Journal by Anni Downs from Hatched and Patched. I think he brought this one because I also like gardening.. Doesn't matter it's beautiful. The only problem was that I then had to patchwork on christmas day.
He couldn't go crook (bloody patchwork) as everyone else was playing with their gifts. So I had to too. Away I went and made my bag. He did well choosing the fabric very me.

Will be back regular to show & tell creation I have made. I am making a year's resolution to be active with my blogging this year. Leaving comment, reading what everyone up to. Make sure to leave a comment of any sort. I love reading comments and where they come from. Blogging is so amazing being able to talk to people all over the world or close by that are like minded spirits.
